There is a lot to say about Yora! The veg in this food is chosen to have the lowest carbon footprint possible - they use oats from a farm right next to the factory, for example. The insect breed was chosen because the grubs don't have pain receptors, and yet Yora still take extra care and cool the grubs so they hibernate before they are killed. The packaging is 100% recyclable. ALso dogs love it!!

Why Yora is Eco
Yora is actually, according to their calculations, the lowest carbon footprint pet food that we sell here at Ethical Pets.Yora grubs are grown in "high tech vertical farms" - they grow quickly and don't take up a lot of resources, for example they eat waste veggies. The grubs are from Holland and all the veg in Yora is farmed in the UK. So if you live in the UK the food miles are minimal. This means that Yora food has an really REALLY low carbon footprint in terms of land, energy, water and other general resources such human labour.
If you currently feed your pet a meat food, then switching to Yora will make a big difference.
Why Yora is Fairly Traded
Yora's grubs come from Protix, in Holland. The workers there get all the benefits and rights of working in an EU country. All the veg in Yora is farmed in the UK.
How to recycle Yora
Yora bags are 100% recyclable at large supermarkets, through kerbside collection or at the household recycling centre.
