Why Ami Cat is Vegan
Ami Cat does not contain any meat or animal products and is 100% Vegan, including the added vitamins and minerals, for example it contains vitamin D3 instead of D2. Ami Cat contains added taurine and all other nutrients needed for it to be a nutritionally complete cat food.
Why Ami Cat is Eco
Vegan food is significantly less destructive to the planet and climate. "Moving from current diets to a diet that excludes animal products has transformative potential, reducing food’s land use by [...] 76% [...], including a 19% reduction in arable land; food’s GHG emissions by [...] 49% [...] ; acidification by 50% [...]; eutrophication by 49% [...]; and scarcity-weighted freshwater withdrawals by 19% [...] for a 2010 reference year." - J. Poore and T. Nemecek 2019 [download the article from here] While most studies talk about human food, the impact of our dog or cat's carbon paw print is just as relevant. In some ways, non-vegan pet food is quite efficient: many pet foods use "surplus" meat that would not be consumed by humans. However, it's still meat and so it's still part of the problem. Also, meat pet food contributes to the unnecessary suffering and destruction of farm animals, as well as to the climate catastrophe. Ultimately, supporting vegan pet food manufacturers now is a positive step for the climate, for animals and producers, whatever the finer points of the argument.

Great Alternative
Our elderly cat has been eating this for several years now ,although she still likes to have some dried meat food. Good product but quite expensive.
